The guy that everyone thought was our target on the international market, who has been eligible for two weeks, is now under contract. Hardly anyone has seen him, but he had stretches where he hit 94 mph on his fastball, as a 15-year-old. Wheeee!

Looks like we can stop debating why he's not in AA.
Munenori Kawasaki was trying to do his regular stretching routine on the floor in front of his locker but was being tormented by Felix, who was up this morning watching Team USA beat Spain in the gold medal game of the Olympics. Felix, wearing his Dwyane Wade Miami Heat jersey, kept running out of the training room and lobbing a small rubber ball at Kawasaki on the floor. Then a hilarious dialogue between the two would break out, little of which could be understood by anyone. "Munenori!" Felix exclaimed. "Fifinori!" Kawasaki answered. "I am needing storage, understand?" "Hai hai!" Felix answered. "I understand. Wait, no. I don't understand!"
Shannon's blog.Apparently, Vizquel still lives in the Seattle metro area. He wants to manage for a team he played for once. So that leaves Seattle, Cleveland, Texas, San Francisco, and Chicago. I don't think Wedge is in danger so Cleveland is the most likely spot. Maybe the Mariners can convince him to manage in AAA or AA for a year.

...in PAs without a HBP. That was my takeaway, but you can also learn some fun things about what it's like to be hit by a baseball that was thrown very, very hard (Including some very funny quotes from players like Torii Hunter and John Baker).
Yes, you can buy them. No, I'm not going to help you with a link. Though if you can arrange for Munenori to wear it, I will pay.
