Off Topic Thread - 07/27/2023 - The End...

There is an old saying that "all good things must come to an end," but in reality, everything eventually ends. Whether that is the end of the day, the end of the year, the end of a job, or the inevitable heat death of the universe (though vacuum decay is my preferred universal ending), everything does eventually come to an end.

But there is another quote that has stuck with me since I have heard it. "It only ends once, everything before that is just progress." This is a line spoken in response to the man in black claiming that "it always ends the same." This also brings to mind something Lloyd McClendon used to say, much to the annoyance of fans, "enjoy the journey." The 2023 season will eventually come to an end, as all things do. Will it be a positive ending? It could be. While I am not telling you how to fan, since I too have felt this year slipping away, Lloyd and Jacob's words ring true. The end isn't set.

So while the Mariners are on an off-day, after narrowly avoiding their season ending for at least the thousandth time yesterday, the time felt right to set up an off-topic thread, since the beginning of June was the last one. As you comment below, remember the site guidelines, no politics, no religion, and, of course, be excellent to each other!
