MLB: Seattle Mariners at Tampa Bay Rays Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports

After completing a shockingly heart-healthy win over Tampa Bay yesterday, the Mariners will look to continue their surprising dominance over the reigning AL champs and keep alive the possibility of a season series sweep.

One difficulty facing the M’s en route to that goal is the fact that Michael Wacha is not on the mound for the Rays this afternoon, but rather recently graduated pitching prospect Luis Patiño. Here’s each team’s look today:

They really thought they could sneak Jake Bauers in there like we wouldn’t notice, huh?

Aside from him (reverse jinx?), the Seattle lineup looks pretty solid from top to bottom as we move out of the three-catchers-two-infielders-in-the-outfield-and-a-partridge-in-a-pear-tree era.

The Rays have returned wunderkind Wander Franco and slugger Austin Meadows to their lineup, with Choi and Kiermaier sitting out and Mejía subbed in for Zunino.
