Today the Mariners and Rangers play the last game of this series before taking a brief break to see other people before they eventually get back together. The Mariners will try to take the series from the Rangers, a bad team that seems to give them fits nonetheless, before the significantly better Blue Jays come to town.

The Mariners made a move before the game: Paul Sewald has gone to the paternity list for the birth of his first child, a girl (congratulations to the Sewalds!); in his place, Yohan Ramírez has been summoned to the ‘pen from Tacoma (really, from the taxi squad because I’m pretty sure he’s been traveling with the team and hanging out with his buddy Abraham Toro, who was in the Astros system with him).
Today’s game starts at 1:10 PT and can be seen on ROOT Sports NW, or listened to on 710 ESPN if you’re stuck at work. You can also stream the game on MLB TV if you’re out of area or follow along on MLB dot com for live updates if you’re stuck in a meeting or something.
