Hello and welcome back to FanPost Friday, non-scorched earth edition. Phew, that heat wave SUCKED, y’all. Hope everyone is breathing easier now in the more temperate vibes in the PNW, or have access to AC if you’re somewhere else that is now having a heat wave.

Today we have a special prompt that was suggested by erstwhile LL Sporcle and podcast maven Matthew Roberson, who has embraced his inner New Yawk Guy and left us for the glorious tabloid sports pages of the New York Daily News. Yes, today we are talking about players who shined so brightly as Mariners for a single season or less, that they had no choice but to move on and not sully their legacy. Yes, that is surely what happened for all of these fellows.

Who is your favorite single-season Seattle Mariners player?

We have a poll below with many subjective choices, but surely I will have missed a few folks’ favorites. Be sure to let us know in the comments, or if you are feeling inspired and want to pen a whole FanPost of devotion to your single-serving Mariner of choice, please do so and I will front page that bad boy.

My choice should be obvious at this point, but let’s hear what LL at LLarge has to say! Just for kicks, I’m not placing any minimum for games played. Just the maximum of one season, which unfortunately rules out a lot of fun players like Leonys Martin, Seth Smith, David Segui, etc. But, as you will see, there are some real “LET’S REMEMBER SOME GUYS” names on this poll, fair warning.

Have an awesome weekend and let’s keep the Mariners gravy train rolling until the wheels fall off and gravy gets everywhere and we get sad and stuff.
