Oh look, a crackdown on foreign substances...in the minors.

Down East (Texas Low-A affiliate) RHP Mason Englert has been suspended for 10 games by Major League Baseball for having foreign substance detected on his belt during his start on May 30. He was ejected in the 4th inning of that game. .

The Oakland A’s suffered some bad press yesterday when images came out of some sad meals that they were providing to their minor league players. Oakland claimed that it was a mistake and that they have fired the vendor involved.
