Sporcle Friday: Mariners Relievers of 2021

If anyone gets all of this, I’ll be impressed, and it’s only been 2.5 months.

Hello everyone. After a brief hiatus mourning the departure of Matthew Roberson, who worked very hard, Sporcle Friday is BACK, baby. I can’t promise it will be as good as some of Matthew’s classics, but I can promise that I will do my level best to irritate the hell out of you with some of these. Let’s jump right into it, though. Did you know the 2021 Mariners have already used a whopping 22 players as relief pitchers? I didn’t look up how that compares across baseball but it’s got to be on the high side. One tends to wonder how high this number will go; with the news from Jeff Passan that Vinny “Leave the Gun, Take the” Nittoli will be called up for today’s game—presumably to take Justin Dunn’s roster spot—the number of Mariners relief pitchers should reach 23 shortly, perhaps as soon as tonight.

Because I am nice, I gave you a hint for each answer, and because I am not nice, the hint for each player is their jersey number.
