Is it even possible to out-chaos seven runs on three hits? You tell me, because I’ve got nothing. Nonetheless, the Mariners are in the black as far as run differential goes, and will look to stay there today.

Once again, after Kyle Lewis, the rest of the lineup looks pretty punchless. Sam Haggerty, who hit the key go-ahead double in the tenth last night, draws a start in left field against Martín Pérez, who at 30, is firmly in “crafty lefty” territory at this stage in his career. The Red Sox are also running out a righty-heavy lineup, with Alex Verdugo and Rafael Devers the lone left-handed swingers. Yusei Kikuchi is coming off a ~decent seven-inning start against the Astros: the line wasn’t great, but he certainly was not helped by the gloves that night. I’ll be keeping an eye on that vicious cutter - which he’s actually thrown more often than his four-seam - and whether or not we see a few changeups from him. Thanks to Justin Dunn gutting through five innings yesterday, the bullpen is fairly rested, and that dude Kendall Graveman should be available depending on the situation.
