In Mariner News...
- Turn up.
Servais said that Kyle Lewis is progressing toward playing in the Dodgers series, saying he will play in at least one of those games.

- The Mariners are said to be in the “third inning” of their search for a Kevin Mather replacement.
- Zack Greinke hit a big milestone last night at T-Mobile Park, becoming the 25th pitcher to surpass 2,700 MLB strikeouts. He is now 9-2 in his career against the Mariners. 16 starts, 111.1 IP, 94 K, 16 BB, 1.94 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, one genius double play aided by Evan White’s poor baserunning.

Around the League...
- Sean Kazmar Jr. is baseball’s best story of the weekend. Kazmar Jr. is an infielder who last played in the big leagues on September 23, 2008. On Saturday at Wrigley Field, 1,106 minor league games (including 127 with the 2011 Tacoma Rainiers!) removed from his last MLB appearance, he made his return. The last person to go that long between MLB appearances was named Ralph, which should give you an idea of how long ago that was.

- The only starter from Kazmar Jr.’s last big league game that’s still in the league? You guessed it, Wade LeBlanc.
If Sean Kazmar Jr. gets into a game for the Braves (@JeffPassan just reported he's being called up), it'd be his first MLB appearance since he came off the Padres' bench on Sept. 23, 2008.

- And he’s relatable!
Kazmar: “It's crazy. At this time I was sitting at home on unemployment a year ago.”

- Thanks to Jacob deGrom and his 14 punchies, the Mets set a Coors Field record yesterday. What’s even more amazing is they did it in a seven-inning game, and thanks to Edwin Díaz’s inning of relief, New York set a different record as well.
- Here’s a video from a few days ago of Alex Verdugo talking to fans like they’re his friends in a co-ed league.
Not a red sox fan but no cap this shits cool AF. More players should try their best to interact with fans in this way. Alex Verdugo talking about his approach to fans (via Caden white on Facebook) pic.twitter.com/MZf7Nk7TUC

- Bad news for the Brewers and fans of the game everywhere.
#Brewers putting Christian Yelich on injured list. Corresponding move to come.

- Speaking of bad news, Sunday’s game between the Twins and Angels has been postponed as at least four members of the Twins have tested positive for COVID.
Matthew’s Picks...
- Amanda Mull wrote an article at The Atlantic that aptly named something I’m sure a lot of us are feeling right now: pandemic senioritis.
- I spent the 9th-16th camping up and down the coast on a road trip with some friends. These were some of my favorite pictures I took along the way.
