FanPost Friday: Who will throw the next Mariners no-hitter?

One of the current starters? One of the prospects? Who has that special blend of blazing talent and blind luck to pull off a no-hitter?

Seattle Mariners v Toronto Blue Jays
a speedy recovery to you, james <3

Hello and welcome to FanPost Friday, now with good weather (in Seattle, anyways). Hey, did you know the Seattle Mariners are in first place in the AL West? Just a little fun fact for ya. Weird, wild stuff.

As you probably know, there have already been two no-hitters so far in 2021. Joe Musgrove tossed the first no-hitter in San Diego Padres history last Friday and Carlos Rodón threw one for the White Sox on Wednesday, narrowly missing a Perfect Game with a HBP in the ninth inning. Anyone who saw Rodón’s dominant start against the Mariners last week could plainly see he was operating in some kind of next level zone. Speaking of Perfect Games, you need to read this if you haven’t yet or if you saw the headline and pulled a “I pretend not to see it” like I did yesterday.

All this no-no action prompted Kate to toss out a Mariners-related poll on the Lookout Landing twitter account. The results were quite interesting!

Twitter limits you to only 4 options, so let’s open it up a bit and try it again here so y’all who voted OTHER can pick your preferred baseball thrower.

One more note before I go! If you’re lucky enough/feel safe enough to be attending any of the upcoming Mariners/Astros games this weekend at T-Mobile Park, please do give the Astros the absolute worst on behalf of every Mariners fans in the world who cannot attend. All forms of booing, hissing, and PG-13-rated heckling (no one wants to get kicked out) are highly encouraged and will be appreciated by me, especially. Go Mariners, please beat the snot out of the cheatin’ ass Houston Astros this weekend. Be safe out there, friends!
