Good morning everyone and happy Saturday! We’re coming off our first full day of playoff baseball with the ALDS and NLDS both in full swing yesterday. Let’s get you that and the latest from around baseball.
In playoff news...
- Yordan Alvarez had another big game for the Astros in Houston’s 9-4 win over the White Sox, giving them a commanding 2-0 lead in the series.
- Kiké Hernández went 5-for-6 to ignite the Red Sox offense as Boston defeated the Rays 14-6. The two teams are now split at 1-1.
- The first NLDS matchup saw the Brewers eke out a 2-1 win over Atlanta thanks to a decisive two-run homer by Rowdy Tellez.
- In the matchup between baseball’s two best teams, the Giants came out on top in Game 1 4-0 behind 10 strikeouts from Logan Webb.
