That relieved shouting you hear echoing across the city today is the Rangers realizing after today’s game, they’re done playing the Mariners in 2020. The Mariners are now closer to a playoff spot than they are the first pick in the draft, but will have to prove they can keep this streak going without their favorite hobby, beating up on the Rangers.

Marco’s turn again already? It feels like he just pitched, although I guess that “just” was literally last week. Time in 2020 is a funny thing.
The Mariners also made a roster move, promoting RHP Casey Sadler to the active roster and placing OF Sam Haggerty on the IL with a left forearm strain. I am sad there will be no more Ham Swaggerty, but thank him for his service in filling in for Dylan Moore as my “surprisingly fun utility player” to watch while the latter was down with a wrist sprain of his own. Is it carrying all my hopes and dreams that is spraining these tiny men’s wrists? I apologize.
