So we meet again. The Mariners are back at it again this afternoon in the series finale against the Los Angeles Angels. It’s the rubber match in the series following yesterday’s nail-biting win.
The M’s are handing the ball to Taijuan Walker, who looks to build on a surprisingly dominant effort in his last start against Oakland. In that start, Walker fired seven innings of one-hit baseball while striking out eight A’s. The since-departed Bryan Shaw nearly blew it for Seattle, but the M’s hung on for the 5-3 win in that contest.
The Mariners are getting their second look at the new and improved Dylan Bundy. The right-hander allowed three earned runs over six innings when the Mariners faced him on July 30, a game which Seattle won 8-5 thanks to a Los Angeles bullpen collapse.
Anyway, let’s get to the important stuff for today.
Lineups
We see the first day off for Kyle Lewis today. Let’s see everyone else pick up the slack in his absence!
Let’s get it.
