Hello! I am pleased to report the Mariners are at it again down in Texas. Our boys will face off against Framber Valdez and co. Here’s what they’ll look like:
Evan White returns after a day off and an off day; Dee Gordon gets to play in a nice small left field; Dylan Moore will get more experience batting second. Tim Lopes designated hitter is somehow a lot more fun that I would have guessed in, like, 2016. They back Yusei Kikuchi, whose 2.17 FIP would be 6th in baseball if he had thrown enough innings to qualify. He sure has looked nice so far! Oh would you also like a trickle of news, as a treat? Sure.
Kendall Graveman may try to avoid surgery and rehab his neck issues. He didn’t find the answers he was looking after talking specialists about surgery to fix the probers.

Both Austin Adams and Brandon Brennan have been sent to Arizona to do their rehab work. Tom Murphy is progressing in his recovery. But still isn’t cleared for rehab games

A tiny bit of good news there, but mostly not great, especially about Graveman. I would still expect the club to snag his option if he isn’t thoroughly borked but it would be nice to know a little more about what we may have in him heading into the offseason.
Oh, and also, just how long did they have Tom Murphy playing on an apparently pretty broken foot?
