Welcome aboard, friends old and new, to the first episode of a (mostly) new podcast - They Might Be Mariners. TMBM will be delivered, for the foreseeable future, through the normal Lookout Landing podcast feed, and we will continue to deliver both podcasts to you. I (John Trupin) will be hosting TMBM most episodes, typically along with Kate Preusser, and this show will be focused fully on prospects, the minor leagues, draft coverage, and all that nitty-gritty stuff that tends to come on grainy video on backfields. We’ll be having interviews with players and coaches throughout the system, as well as analysis and discussion from our staff and other prospect experts throughout the baseball world.

With Matthew Roberson taking the lead on the main Lookout Landing podcast, that show will be freed up to have a heavier focus on the big league club, as well as whatever clever ideas he concocts. Our hope is to bring those of you craving more deep dives on prospects a place to feel at home, and not bog down those of you more interested in the more tangible aspects of Mariners fandom. Our debut episode starts off detailing the outsiders of the 2020 Lookout Landing Top Prospects list, looking at those outside the top-30.

If you enjoy this, please download, rate, and subscribe to the podcast feed, as it is one of the only ways we directly receive a bit of extra funding for our work on the site! If you have requests, questions, and/or suggestions, please leave them in the comments, email us, or message us on Twitter. Thanks for your support!

Note: If you’re searching for the podcast to subscribe (and we would love it if you did) please be aware that it is listed as simply “Lookout Landing” and not “Lookout Landing 2.0” which is understandably confusing. We’re sorry.
