Happy Leap Year Day! I hope you are all enjoying your Leap Day parties and opening your Leap Day presents. If there happens to be a TV nearby that isn’t covering the Leap Day parade, you can turn it on and watch the Mariners play today at 12:10 PT:

This is pretty, pretty close to an Opening Day lineup, Marco included. Maybe Jarred Kelenic can have a little spring training faux-Opening Day start, as a treat.
We also have some spring training news! Unfortunately, the news isn’t great.
Rookie first baseman Evan White is being held out -- hasn't played since Wednesday -- due to some soreness in his groin muscles. Just being cautious and he's expected to be back in lineup by Monday. #Mariners

White’s health was the one thing that gave me pause about his extension; he’s missed at least a little bit of time with nagging injuries every year in the minors. Hopefully this is just out of an abundance of caution and the fact that the Mariners clubhouse currently looks like the dressing room for the Polyphonic Spree.
As mentioned above, today’s game is on TV, either on ROOT on MLB TV or a stream, kicking off at 12:10 PT; if you’re out on the town or traveling over the river and through the woods to get to grandmother’s house for a good old-fashioned country Leaping Day, you can listen on the radio on 710 on no delay or to the Royals feed, if for some reason you want to do that, on MLB.com.
Also, if you have Instagram, staffer Eric Sanford is down in Peoria this weekend and is covering his exploits live; follow along @lookout.landing.
