- MLB has launched a new Draft League that will focus on developing top prospects who are eligible to be drafted. The league will consist of five teams and a 68-game season, and additionally give players the opportunity to showcase their talent and gain exposure.
- RHP Jacob Barnes and the Mets have agreed to a one-year/$750,000 deal, which includes a $25,000 bonus for one active day on a major league roster and up to $75,000 in performance bonuses.
- The Padres have DFA’d RHP Luis Perdomo in advance of the Rule 5 draft. Perdomo has cleared waivers and is now a free-agent.
- The Royals have signed OF Michael A. Taylor to a one-year/$1.75 million deal with an additional $1 million worth of incentives included.
