After looking like they were going to roll over to the Rays in a sweep, the Astros won their first game of the series yesterday—although it was close, as Tampa Bay almost tied the game in the ninth. Today they return to try to claw their way back into the series, and the game is ten minutes old and George Springer has already hit a home run.
Here’s the lineup for today’s game, which is going on now on TBS:
|Brandon Lowe - 2B||George Springer - CF|
|Randy Arozarena - LF||Michael Brantley - DH|
|Austin Meadows - RF||Jose Altuve - 2B|
|Yandy Diaz - DH||Alex Bregman - 3B|
|Ji-Man Choi - 1B||Carlos Correa - SS|
|Manuel Margot - CF||Kyle Tucker - LF|
|Joey Wendle - 3B||Yuli Gurriel - 1B|
|Willy Adames - SS||Josh Reddick - RF|
|Mike Zunino - C||Martin Maldonado - C|
|John Curtiss - RHP||Luis Garcia - RHP|
The Astros are starting rookie Luis Garcia and the Rays have John Curtiss, a reliever, doing opener duties, so it looks like today will be a heavy bullpen day for both teams.
|Mookie Betts - RF||Ronald Acuna - RF|
|Corey Seager - SS||Freddie Freeman - 1B|
|Justin Turner - 3B||Marcell Ozuna - DH|
|Max Muncy - 1B||Travis d'Arnaud - C|
|Joc Pederson - LF||Ozzie Albies - 2B|
|Cody Bellinger - CF||Dansby Swanson - SS|
|Edwin Rios - DH||Austin Riley - LF|
|Enrique Hernandez - 2B||Johan Camargo - 3B|
|Austin Barnes - C||Cristian Pache - CF|
|Clayton Kershaw - LHP||Bryse Wilson - RHP|
The Dodgers came back with a vengeance yesterday, scoring eleventy hundred runs in the first inning, and will look to tie up the series today. Clayton Kershaw will make his NLCS debut and be opposed by Bryse Wilson, about whom I freely admit I know nothing.
