Just two more of these before we pack it in for the winter.
Last night was a fun glimpse of the future, which is all we can really hope for during this final series that already provided a storybook ending to the King’s reign. On this Saturday evening, Marco Gonzales needs to complete just four innings to reach 200 on the year and three strikeouts to set a new season-high for his career. A’s pitcher Brett Anderson will make his 22nd start against Seattle, his most against any opponent.
Enjoy one of our final looks at J.P. Crawford, Shed Long, and Kyle Lewis in 2019, and please appreciate the production the Mariners have gotten from Tom Murphy and Kyle Seager in an otherwise moribund season. Others like Domingo Santana and Tim Lopes may be getting their final reps for the M’s. We will...miss them? I don’t know. Get here soon, Jarred and Julio.
