The Mariners made a game out of it, but fall to the White Sox, 9-7

MLB: Chicago White Sox at Seattle Mariners
What do you mean I didn’t hit a homer?

You probably knew this was coming: Yusei Kikuchi, -.441 WPA

Child-like sense of wonder: Daniel Vogelbach, .145 WPA

Moment of the game: The strike zone tonight was...an adventure, but no one was more unhappy about it than the appropriately-named Aaron Bummer, who got into a spot of trouble in the eighth that led to him being lifted in favor of Alex Colome in a game the White Sox once led 8-3. I’m no lip reader but suffice it to say Aaron Bummer owes the swear jar some quarters.
