The Seattle Mariners are playing an extremely weird home series in September against an NL Central opponent. I’m all for the yearlong interleague play, there’s just something that feels weird about it happening this late in the season. While Seattlites were robbed of a chance to see Yasiel Puig in person, the organization has slightly repaid us by summoning four of the rugrats to the big leagues for this series with the Reds.
Dunn (#35), Lewis (#30), Walton (#31) and Warren (#43) will be in uniform and available for tonight’s (7:10 pm PT) game vs. Cincinnati at T-Mobile Park.

Lewis is starting in right field and we can guess that Walton will be the first man up for potential pinch hit/run situations. We may see Art Warren out of the bullpen tonight too, especially with Justus Sheffield and his protected arm making the start. The plan for Dunn is to pair him with Tommy Milone, which will reportedly happen on Thursday.
Justin Dunn will be used in combination with Tommy Milone’s schedule rest of season. So he’ll make MLB debut on Thursday. Not determined if he’ll start as opener or relieve.

The Mariners are 13-2 in their history with the Reds, which is the best winning percentage Seattle owns against an opposing team. It’d be a shame if they improved that winning percentage tonight against Brevor Tauer.
