A big second inning dooms the Mariners

New York Yankees v Seattle Mariners

This...wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! And outside of the second inning, where the Yankees scored 4/5ths of their runs, it really wasn’t.

Not that that means it was good. The Mariners struck out 14 times. That is more than twice the number of Yankees batters Mariners pitchers struck out. I am no MATH EXPERT, but that seems bad.

Finding a five-dollar bill in your pocket: Mallex Smith, .104 WPA

Finding out you owe the IRS...more than five dollars: Tommy Milone, -.298 WPA

Moment of the game: Dylan Moore finds out all joy in life is fleeting (not all these moments are going to be good ones, okay)
