Brace yourselves, the Blue Jays and their fans have arrived. After taking two out of three in the actual Rogers Centre, the Mariners will look to snatch a series win in T-Mobile Park Rogers Centre West.

After a dominant few months in Double-A, Justus Sheffield will make his first big league start, and Toronto’s prospect-loaded lineup will be a big test. I’m a little nervous about Narváez catching his high-movement repertoire, but his improved command should help him out. Trent Thornton was wild out of the gate early in his start against Seattle last week, but was able to escape without much damage. Let’s hope for a different, better outcome this time around.
Plus, some unfortunate injury news:
Chasen Bradford underwent Tommy John surgery last week.

After being a reliable innings sponge last season, Bradford has dealt with injuries all season, and struggled mightily in twelve appearances this season to the tune of a hideous 7.29 FIP. He has one year of pre-arb remaining, so it’s unlikely he’ll be non-tendered this winter, but we almost certainly will not see him until 2021 - if he stays on the team all the way until then.
