In case you don’t pay much attention to the rest of the league, there was quite a lively fight between the Cincinatti Reds and Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday, the culmination of multiple grievances concerning inside fastballs and bean balls. Even considering the two team’s storied rivalries and beefs throughout the 70’s and 80’s, this newest chapter is pretty wild and proves that even as much as the game has changed in the last 10 years or so, the tempers and sometimes violent outbursts of baseball players have not changed very much.

We do not condone fighting or violence at LL, and I sincerely hope no one sustained any serious injuries in Tuesday’s brawl. Baseball brawls are funny spectacles until someone sustains a tramatic head injury, right? (Mike Morse ruefully nods). But, since it continues to occasionally be part of the game, here is your prompt:
What is your favorite base-brawl of all time?
It doe not have to involve the Mariners, although the 90’s Mariners in particular were involved in their fair share of bench-clearers. Talk about it in the comments or submit a FanPost and we’ll front page the best ones over the weekend.
