After last night’s loss you could easily be forgiven for saying something about “curse” and “of Edgar” and “weekend.” Though that doesn’t really apply this year as losses are to this team as quality at bats were to Edgar: expected, consistent, makes me want to cry when I think about it too long.
A little tidbit from yesterday:
It's official.

There will be an Edgar Martinez statue at @TMobilePark in 2020.
Hopefully with this statue Mr. T doesn’t show up to the unveiling just to challenge Edgar to a fight and then goad him on until Edgar’s fighting trainer suffers a tragic heart attack and Edgar is forced to take on Mr. T unprepared. That would be awful.

It’s Sunday afternoon. You could go to this game! Or watch this game from home! Or, listen to the game while you clean and intermittently weep about the state of the Mariners and the fact that you have to go to work tomorrow! Or, perhaps, if you dare, follow along on gameday!
Whatever you do today is our last day to honor Edgar. So do whatever you think he thinks is right.
