Anaheim is not Los Angeles. In fact, it’s about 30 miles away, in an entirely different county.
The Angels are not a particularly good baseball team. Neither are the Mariners. These are just the facts, folks.
Nevertheless, the two AL West teams will engage in a baseball game tonight, with the winner committing self-sabotage in regards to their 2020 draft slot. As has become customary, the Mariners’ lineup tonight consists of several new faces, as the entire bottom third of the batting order (Mac Williamson, Shed Long, Dylan Moore) plus the starting pitcher (Yusei Kikuchi) are playing their first seasons in Seattle. Luckily, the M’s have the luxury of facing a team they’ve mostly tamed this season, as seven of Seattle’s 27 wins have come against the Halos.
With the wacky nature of this season and the Mariners’ hilarious pwnage of the Angels, I am going to predict that they will win tonight’s game, Shed Long gets his first MLB home run, and Yusei Kikuchi records at least eight strikeouts.
