There’s no two ways about it: the Mariners are not good. Their pitching is not good, their fielding is not good, and their batting is nowhere near enough to make up for those glaring deficiencies.
With all of that being said, the Orioles are much, much, much worse. For as bad as the Mariners are, FiveThirtyEight grades the Orioles at nearly 100 ELO points below them, and presently projects the Orioles to lose 111 games. Of course, neither team is going to make the playoffs, so who really cares?

Actually, the Mariners lineup is fine. The Orioles lineup is not.
Dee Gordon will be getting the night off with the Orioles throwing a lefty out there. Mike Leake will be getting the pitching equivalent of a night off, with the Orioles throwing... themselves out there.
