Wade the White returns to the Northwest

love the Wader Tot

The Mariners have played two uninspired games against the Twins, but tonight they get back Wade “Wader Tot” LeBlanc, who will provide a lift to the dugout if nothing else.

A righty on the mound means we get Starterbach; Tim Beckham takes a seat for Ryon Healy at 3B with EE at first to make way for Vogey. [Note to self: “Make Way For Vogey”: an excellent children’s book idea, who cares about ducks.] Meanwhile in Reno, Kyle Seager and Dylan Moore are back-to-back in the lineup for the Rainiers, with Sam Tuivailala also making the quick trip from Modesto to Reno, so roster moves loom ever-closer. If I was Ryon Healy I’d be playing with a little extra fire behind me, unless I was especially fond of Dirty Oscar’s, and really, who isn’t.

Tonight’s game starts at 7:10, and can be heard on 710 ESPN, or seen on ROOT, or peered at through MLB TV provided you’ve never heard of the Northwest, what’s that, the map of the US ends at the Missouri River with just a giant “here be dragons” written beyond that.
