Break open an extra pack of Peeps and dunk them in some coffee - we’ve got late brunch baseball today on our most sacred of holidays - Sweepsmas in Anaheim. The Mariners have to pick up the slack for their dad who went a bit too hard on the punch and is feeling a bit sore today.
Jay Bruce has a sore quad. Not in lineup today, but Servais doesn't think it's anything serious.

All the same, the M’s are throwing a high-OBP group at the top of the order once again, which Scott Servais appears to be making a point of. It also will hopefully help Mallex Smith get back on track to work lower in the order.

To respond, the Angels appear to be throwing an added wrench, using an Opener in Hansel Robles to help their bedraggled pitching staff get off on the right foot.

Jaime Barria will follow, it appears.
The Angels are going with Hansel Robles as opener with Gretel, er, Jaime Barria expected to follow
