After sweeping the Royals, the Mariners get to relax a bit this weekend against the Astros. In fact, they’re so relaxed they’ve given Rookie of the Year shoo-in Daniel Vogelbach the night off.

Wade LeBlanc allowed two runs on six hits and one walk over six innings Sunday against the White Sox. Vogey drilled in half of the Mariners’ 12 runs that game. With Jay Bruce taking Vogey’s place today, we’ll look for somebody else to keep the Mariners’ MLB record-setting home run streak alive. After getting roughed up a bit in his first start, LeBlanc has the opportunity to bring his ERA back down a bit more tonight against an Astro’s lineup that’s... Well, it sure has turned into a nice evening, hasn’t it?

Wade Miley allowed four hits and two walks in 5.2 scoreless innings in a 6-0 victory Saturday against the A’s. Missing from the Astros’ lineup again tonight is Third baseman Alex Bregman, day-to-day since suffering a hamstring injury Tuesday. After starting the season 2-5, the Astros have been as hot as just about any team not called the Mariners.
Two teams with a six-game winning streak. Two left-handed Wades. Two teams with their sights set on the world series THIS YEAR.
