You remember Brett Anderson - the groundball master who has tormented the Mariners for the past few years despite yielding middling results against much of the league. Today the Mariners get a new chance to take on the Athletics’ veteran southpaw, though they’ll run out a 55.6% lefty lineup to do it.

Wade LeBlanc will make his first appearance since starring in the best (IMO) of the Mariners’ new commercials this year. We’ll get a near-regular lineup, save for a still-resting Mitch Haniger, still-injured Mallex Smith, and David Freitas behind the dish. J.P. Crawford has had a slow spring, so it’d be nice to see him work some good at-bats, and it’s always good to see Vogelbach get work in the field. Braden Bishop gets a start in center as well, and the bench looks likely to yield some Shed Long time. In the bullpen, we’ll likely get Hunter Strickland and Chasen Bradford, as well as Rule-5 pick Brandon Brennan. By the end we may see Art Warren and Reggie McClain make their Spring debuts as well.

Kate will be on the scene at the game, so if you’d like some live responses, follow the LL Twitter for that. Otherwise, we’ll have the recap up soon afterwards as usual. No more midday midweek Spring Training games!
