Yesterday the Mariners played a rain-shortened game in Mesa that should have been the “lid-lifter,” one of my favorite baseball expressions, for Spring Training, but Mother Nature has a flair for the drahmahteek, so instead the Mariners will stay put in Peoria, hoping not to get rained out again. We did get a tantalizing glimpse of some of the young talent we’ll see over Spring Training, though, and it’s worth learning to put some names with some faces. This one isn’t as tough as the 40-man roster, believe it or not, but it has a way tighter time limit, so proceed with caution. If you’re planning a trip to Peoria or to any of the minor-league affiliates, consider this your handy-dandy cheat sheet for calling the right player’s name when requesting an autograph, so if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
How to play: when given a player name, simply click the matching photo of the player who represents all our hopes and dreams. No pressure, everyone.
