Your cheat sheet to the 2019 Mariners roster

Who’s here, who’s gone, who’s on a minors deal, who plays third if Kyle Seager gets injured (hint: it’s you)

MLB: Spring Training-Chicago Cubs at Seattle Mariners Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Sometimes at LL, we spend so much time tracking the day-to-day moves of the team that it’s valuable to take a step back and look at the whole picture. For others who take the off-season as an opportunity to step away from baseball and invest in other hobbies or things like “family time” or “work,” it can be jarring to come back to a team that’s been completely remodeled in the interim. However, pitchers and catchers report today, which means baseball is officially upon us, so here is a handy-dandy cheat sheet to get you quickly up to speed on who’s here, who’s gone, and all the other moves in between, with handy links to our recent writeups on them. We will keep this list updated throughout the spring, so check back early and often.

You can read detailed profiles about every player on the 40-man at our 40 in 40 series here, and find links to writeups on 50 top prospects here. The current 40-man roster consists of:
