No matter what happens, two teams are going home sad today. Right when you need baseball the most, baseball ends, and we’re left with nothing but cold, dark, rainy weather and the 24/7/365 news cycle of the NFL.
As Mariners fans, baseball ended a few weeks ago, or earlier, your mileage may vary. But in this concept known as the “postseason,” a few teams get to keep playing even though it’s not Spring or Summer anymore. Weird, I know. Well, that nonsense will end today for either the Braves or the Cardinals, or for the Nationals and the Dodgers.
