The Athletics and Brewers have been sent back to the scrap-heap to think about what they’ve done - wear green - and we now move from Winner-Take-All Ball to Pivotal Game _ Ball. Tonight is a National League doubleheader, starting in the Southeast and ending in the Southwest. We get the Cardinals at the Braves and the Nationals at the Dodgers. It’s a match-up of four fairly marquee franchises who the Mariners didn’t play once this season.
Game one of the night kicks off just after 2 PM PT, with Miles “Globetrotter” Mikolas against Dallas “Don’t Qualify My Offer” Keuchel. The hometown Braves will be without Josh Donaldson in the starting lineup, as he deals with a hip contusion.

Our staff overwhelmingly appears to be rooting for the Braves, though a few votes expected the Cardinals to win. The split was more even on rooting for L.A. or D.C., though folks felt the West Coast’s best probably has it in the bag.
