The Mariners recently acquired infield prospect Shed Long. Nominally, he’s a second baseman; however, Jerry Dipoto said he would try Long out at other spots in the infield, specifically mentioning third base. One last thing about Long is that he hit 12 homers in AA last year. I put together a quiz of the second and third basemen that have hit the most home runs in their Mariners career. Can you name them?
(Criteria: 50% of these players’ games were played at second OR third base. Their homers at other positions, including DH, count. Only home runs in a Mariners uniform count).
