• The Mariners are the only team in baseball that has all five starters and their closer at 90+ strikeouts. The Yankees also have five starters and a reliever, but Dellin Betances is normally their set-up man. Ditto for the Dodgers, as closer Kenley Jansen is not included.

• Excuse me?

• In an unsurprising move, the Indians have placed newly-acquired third baseman Josh Donaldson on the 10-day disabled list in order to allow him to go on a rehab assignment.
• It’s official: the White Sox will not be calling up top prospect Eloy Jiménez.
• Rockies left-hander Mike Dunn will undergo surgery on his shoulder, ending his season.
• Joey Votto liked a fan’s shirt so much that he exchanged an autographed jersey for it. As long as that fan can make the shirt again, it seems like a good deal to me.
• The A’s have acquired right-hander Aaron Brooks in an effort to further bolster their pitching staff.
