Hello my party people. It is Terrible Tuesday, I am sorry to inform. But that’s OK, the links are still fresh. Here they be.
In Mariners news...
- Corey Brock at The Athletic outlines some things that the Mariners need to do to nab a playoff spot.
- This will be a dude to look out for.
Sam Delaplane had a dominating 2018 season.

39G, 4-2, 1.96ERA, 10 SV, 59.2IP, 54H, 22BB (2 IBB), 100K, .234 BAA. #LumberKings
Around the league...
- The Mariners are the only team in baseball that has all five starters and their closer at 90+ strikeouts. The Yankees also have five starters and a reliever, but Dellin Betances is normally their set-up man. Ditto for the Dodgers, as closer Kenley Jansen is not included.

- In an unsurprising move, the Indians have placed newly-acquired third baseman Josh Donaldson on the 10-day disabled list in order to allow him to go on a rehab assignment.
- It’s official: the White Sox will not be calling up top prospect Eloy Jiménez.
- Rockies left-hander Mike Dunn will undergo surgery on his shoulder, ending his season.
- Joey Votto liked a fan’s shirt so much that he exchanged an autographed jersey for it. As long as that fan can make the shirt again, it seems like a good deal to me.
- The A’s have acquired right-hander Aaron Brooks in an effort to further bolster their pitching staff.
Anders’ picks...
- This is a pretty funny story.
i noticed there was a blank wall at mcdonald’s so i decided to make this fake poster of me and my friend. It’s now been 51 days since i hung it up. pic.twitter.com/5OTf5aR4vm
