MLB: Kansas City Royals at Seattle Mariners

The Mariners look to keep the dream of a 90-win, playoff-less season alive as they send ace LHP James Paxton to the hill as he looks to surpass the 200 strikeout benchmark for the first time in his professional career, and just six punchouts will get him there.

Despite having locked up a spot in the postseason already, the A’s send of their A lineup as they attempt to close the gap on the Yankees and claim home field advantage in the AL Wild Card game. With the Yankees’ victory over the red hot Tampa Bay Rays tonight, Oakland will need RHP Daniel Mengden and the #3 offense in baseball to a victory tonight just to remain 1.5 back. Here’s to playing spoiler!
