With just a few games left to play in the season, the Mariners are in their home stretch. While not mathematically eliminated, they’re sitting at playoff odds of <1%. If you’re one of the few still watching, it’s probably because you really love baseball and realize that in two weeks, you’ll be looking at a six month wait until the next Mariner game.
To the end of wanting to savor the remainder of the quality baseball we do have, the Mariners have elected to put their near-best lineup out there. Apologies to Kristopher Negrón.
