8/8/18: Open Game Thread

As they say, the show must go on.

Man, we had better not have a Yovani Gallardo revenge game today. After three truly horrific appearances for the Reds, Gallardo latched on with Texas, and has ridden some truly absurd run support to a 6-1 record over eight starts despite a FIP nearing 5. Hopefully Marco Gonzales can buck that trend today.

Because we can’t have nice things, today’s game is exclusively on Facebook. Though their game recaps are admittedly fantastic, the exclusivity of these games has been almost universally panned. I wonder how common they’ll be next year - or if they’ll have the game there but still available to watch on local broadcasts. One can dream, I suppose.
