The wonders of interleague play are to thank for this somewhat peculiar aside in the midst of a tightening playoff race. Seattle takes three in Arizona before a pair against their Natural RivalTM the San Diego Padres. As Jake outlined today, this trip south is anything but a break. Seattle will face three top-notch starting pitchers, beginning tonight with Zack Godley. With the Mariners shifting to a six-man rotation for the time being, they get to have their Erasmo and Félix too, and Erasmo Ramirez will oppose Godley.
Seattle’s last game in Chase Field was a 14-10 loss on June 20th of 2012, with Jason Vargas allowing five home runs in a remarkably poor start. Here were the starting lineups for THAT game.

In what has become a rather fun reveal each day, the Mariners will put out a Ryon Healy and Nelson Cruz-free lineup to oppose the Diamondbacks. Robinson Canó will man 1st base, with Dee Gordon at second, and Cameron Maybin in CF.
