Good evening! The Rangers’ visit to Safeco Field continues, with Félix Hernández taking the hill against Austin Bibens-Dirkx. The M’s have been on fire lately, winning nine out of their last ten, and look to keep their lead on the second wild card spot to at least 4.5 games - as I’m typing this, the Angels are enjoying a four-run lead over Detroit in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Lineups!

No Guillermo is a bummer as always, but other than that, this looks like a solid lineup. The return of Jean Segura is a very welcome sight, and Denard Span hitting second is a good idea and should continue. The outfield defense feels a little shakier than what we’ve seen most of the year, and tonight would be a good night for Félix to rediscover some way of getting ground balls - his 40.8% GB% entering today is far-and-away the lowest of his career.
Do the thing, Mariners!
