It’s a gorgeous afternoon for Mariners baseball! Or it would be if they weren’t playing in Cleveland. Although they’re getting some sun, too, it’ll be a chilly evening at Jacobs Field:

Cleveland’s offense has struggled mightily all season, coming into today with a team wRC+ of just 79. Their pitching has been predictably phenomenal, though, and is the main reason they hold first place in the AL Central. Mike Clevinger is off to a fast start in 2018, although his microscopic 3.3% HR/FB and below-average strikeout and walk numbers suggest that regression may be coming.
