Heading into this homestand, on the LL Podcast, John and Kate said they were hoping for 4-3 but would settle for 3-4 in these seven games against the Thirdstros and the Athletics. Right now, the M’s stand at 3-1, and they send Aríel Miranda to the bump today in his first start of the season.
Of course, in order to call up Miranda, the Mariners had to make another roster move. Naturally, they chose to rid themselves of a player whose role on the team has been thrown into question lately, a hitter with limited utility: Ichiro Suzuki Taylor Motter. Perhaps we’ll know more by Sunday:

1. Miranda is recalled from AAA, Motter is optioned back today.
2. Erasmo avoids injury and catastrophe in start tonight.
3. Miranda optioned back after tonight's game, Gamel recalled on Weds.
That gives them till Sunday when No. 5 is needed
Regardless, until then, we have actual baseball to worry about.
