Greetings! It is Friday, March 23, and it is currently snowing just a few flakes in the Seattle area. March is always the best and worst month in Seattle because we get our first lil’ preview taste of baseball, but it also comes with the infamous “Lousy Smarch weather.” And then summer doesn’t actually start until July 5. Why do I live here again?

Jean Segura (sore thumb) will take BP today and hope is he's back in lineup tomorrow. Cano, Cruz and Ichiro all getting extra ABs in Minor League game today, with plan that they'll be back in tomorrow night's game against Cubs as well, when Felix is pitching.

Casey Lawrence gets to strut his stuff and make his case for taking David Phelps’s spot in the bullpen and the Mariners face James Shields, for which this is not a Big Game. Mike Ford, fresh off last night’s walk-off heroics, is back in the lineup at DH while Daniel Vogelbach continues his foe-smiting campaign at first base.
