Hello and welcome to Friday day baseball. Feels pretty good, right? Heck yeah. Today the Mariners roll into Maryvale Ballpark in Phoenix to take on the former Seattle Pilots now known as the Milwaukee Brewers (it’s actually pronounced “mill-a-wah-que”).

Most of the starters are getting the day off, except for Mike Zunino, who is getting some more at-bats from the DH slot. Daniel Vogelbach gets another start at first base and the battle of the utility men continues as Andrew Romine, Taylor Motter, and Gordon Beckham all get the start.
Marco Gonzales makes his second appearance of the spring. Be on the lookout for that new cutter that he has worked back into his pitch repertoire.
