I’m sure you are all on the edge of your seats wondering how I did on my final yesterday. Let’s just say 100% is in play. Let’s enjoy a celebratory links compilation.
In Mariners News...
- The Mariners placed Tony Zych on waivers yesterday.
Reliever Tony Zych placed on waivers for unconditional release by Mariners. Pitched 70 games over last 3 years, but just never could overcome lingering arm issues.

- Mitch Haniger spoke with MLB Network yesterday.
On the field, @M_Hanny17 is all business. He chatted with @MLBNetwork about his baseball mentality. pic.twitter.com/Em59r7JGRs

- Jon Heyman discusses Dee Gordon’s transition to centerfield.

- Erasmo is throwing again and the Mariners hope he will be ready in time for his first start of the season.
Erasmo Ramirez says he's been cleared to start throwing today. Has been shut down for 3 weeks by strained lat, but will get ready "quick as I can." Mariners hopeful he'll be ready by time they need a fifth starter in mid-April.

- Art Warren picked up his first spring training save yesterday.
Congrats @arthur_warren on 1st Cactus League save!

Around the League...
- Former Mariner prospect Tyler O’Neill tweaked his leg.
It doesn’t sound like Tyler O’Neill’s hamstring injury will allow him to see much more action this spring. Less than three weeks left, and even minor hammy strains often linger for at least two. #STLCards

- Check out catcher metrics on baseball savant.
Gary Sanchez has the best catcher throwing arm, but Sal Perez gets the ball out the fastest, and Austin Hedges has the best pop time overall.

- Lance Lynn signed with the Twins.
Lance Lynn’s one-year, $12 million contract could increase to a total of $14 million if he attains performance bonuses. @MLB @MLBNetwork
— Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) March 10, 2018
- Apparently Lynn could have played for more money elsewhere, but wanted to play for the Twins because he believes in their ability to contend.
Lance Lynn had offers from other @MLB teams that would have guaranteed him more money, but he preferred the fit with the #Twins and believes in their chance to win right now. @MLBNetwork

- Lorenzo Cain picked something up from Mike Cameron.
Cool story on today’s Brewers broadcast about Lorenzo Cain paying minor leaguers for helping out with major league team’s morning drills. Said he credited @_darkman44 for setting the example when Cain was in Brewers’ minor league camp many years ago. Mike Cameron is the best.

- Mike Trout destroyed a baseball yesterday.
Over the batter’s eye!? That’s just silly, @MikeTrout. pic.twitter.com/LqrWqSThTK

What a day to be named Jordan! Levi Jordan goes 3x3 with 2 HRs, 3 RBI, 3 runs and Jordan Jones strikes out 11 in his first career complete game. UW wins 5-2. Back at it tomorrow at 1:05 p.m. #DaWgStrong
