No offense to yesterday’s NRI-fest, but today’s game feels like ACTUAL BASEBALL.
Lineups:

We got Cruz and Canó making their spring debuts. We got 2⁄3 of an actual probable starting lineup. We got Seager on Seager action, for the first time ever in their professional careers. Marco Gonzales will also make his spring debut, as will Clayton Kershaw, if you get excited about that sort of thing. Also our buddy Ian Miller gets the start in CF! Spring training is so fun*.
(*Currently, until it gets to that point where we’re all like OK ENOUGH REAL BASEBALL NOW.)
Today also promises to maybe give us our first look at the Mariners’ biggest free-agent acquisition, Juan Nicasio, waiver wire pickups Chasen Bradford and Sam Moll, a newly-trim Rob Whalen, and maybe Edwin Díaz in the closer role if the game is close. Seth Elledge, a strike-throwing 2017 draftee who hasn’t pitched above low-A ball, submarininer Jack Anderson, and Bryan Bonnell, acquired from the Rays for international money last year, round out the NRI pitchers.
