For those of you who joined me in staying up for last night’s NLCS Game 4, I salute you. The Dodgers won, the Brewers used Josh Hader and didn’t pull it out, and everybody is really angry. With the NLCS knotted up at 2-2 and the ALCS leaning 2-1 in favor of the Red Sox, let’s take quick stock of where each team is at.
Brewers:
Christian Yelich had strongest words for Manny Machado last night ("Dirty play by a dirty player") but manager Craig Counsell threw the best shade when asked if Machado merely was playing hard: "I don't think he's playing all that hard." A brilliant, understated rip.

After Yelich finished answering questions about Machado, he walked away from his locker and blurted out: “F - - k that mother- - - - er.”

And in the AL...
Sources: The Indians warned the Red Sox about a man named Kyle McLaughlin taking pictures of their dugout for the Houston Astros. MLB also looked into an August incident in which Oakland alleged an Astros sign-stealing scheme.
