For weeks months the Mariners have been limping towards September and roster expansion. It may be too little too late, but at the very least it means the hook can be comfortably quicker on Sophie’s Choice 2 - The Rotation. Tonight, at least, we can dream of 5-6 innings from the starter, as Mike Leake begins the first of what his contract suggests may be around 100 starts in a Mariners uniform. Long may he reign.
